Jam in the Valley started as a simple 4th of July fireworks show for the entertainment of our campers at Buffalo Hill Village. Every 4th of July, a “backyard style” fireworks show was put on, much to the delight of “maybe” a couple of hundred people.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Buffalo Hill Village owner, Sonny Attea would add a little more excitement to his show each year. Patriotic music, light shows, fountains, waterfall displays, pyrotechnic animations, firework waterfalls and of course, our staple Statue of Liberty were all added throughout the years. As time went on, the “couple of hundred” original spectators more than doubled in size.

The Raccoon Rally is the largest annual mountain bike event in New York State, held each year in Allegany State Park, which is in the south-west corner of the state. There are 3 race courses you can choose from: the beginner course (12.4 miles), the sport course (25 miles), or the expert course (29 miles).

In addition to the cross country mountain bike race, there’s also a Road Race, Downhill, Trials, Short track, Kids Race and more!

Sorry for the delay in posting the photos for the 8th Annual Keuka Lake Triathlon.

The company that host the server where all the photos for this event, is located in Texas.  Because of the weather on June 8th, they encountered a few power outages.

Unfortunate for us, it happened while indexing all the photos with participants bib numbers. I was inform on June 9th that we would have to index all photos again. Instead of taking another 2 to 3 days to accomplish this and because of all the emails that I have received asking to see the photos, I decided to go ahead and release the photos posted without a complete indexing.

Please find your photos by viewing and finding them by category. A few bib numbers may still be in tack and you can try that also.

Competitors experienced the thrill and demands of Allegany State Park’s Art Roscoe Trail System.  Starting and finishing at the Summit Ski Cabin just inside the Red House area of the park entrance.  The race featured terrific door prizes from multiple great sponsors, warm snacks after the race and a fun social experience.

Groomed double set tracks provide mile after mile of lung pumping action including rolling hills, , challenging climbs, fun descents and a thrilling sprint to the finish line.
